trip to the races...

Dan came home from work on Friday with a dozen red roses, a bottle of champagne and a birthday cake for me :o) After enjoying the champagne in the garden, we headed off for a chinese meal at the Shanpan Chinese. Very yummy.

Yesterday was the trip to the races. After fretting all week about the weather, it turned out to be a lovely sunny day.

Me, Dan, Debbie and Jason arrived at the racecourse at 1.30pm to find Gareth, Minnie, Simon, Eloise and Johnson had already arrived and found us a lovely spot by the racecourse. Soon after, Wilson, Adam, George, Richard, Francisco and Gareth arrived too.

There was much eating, drinking and betting by all but I think only George & Richard did any good coming out a total of £34.00 up!

After the last race at 5.15pm, we headed off into town for a drink at The Dolphin before a curry at the Ellora.

We made it just in time to catch the last train back to Reading at 22.37.
