Yesterday we had a Christmas shopping and sightseeing day in
London.
First stop was
Covent Garden Market where we enjoyed some mulled wine to help us get in to the festive spirit. We had a mooch round the markets and saw some really nice things including a man making bracelets out of forks! They were really pretty and very unusual. Dan offered to buy me one for Christmas but for some reason, I decided against it.
After looking round Covent Garden, we headed to
Greenwich Market. We wandered round looking for inspiration for Christmas presents but didn't see anything we wanted to buy! Dan did find a nice shirt which I offered to buy him for Christmas but he decided not to.
We decided it was time for a rest so we headed to the pub for a little afternoon drink.
After Greenwich, we headed up to
Camden Market. By this time, it was getting late and we arrived as some of the market traders were packing up for the day. We thought about having some food at Camden at one of the many food outlets, all of which smelled fantastic but we thought we'd go for a nice sit down meal instead.
Chinese was the chosen food so we thought it only right to go to
China Town to eat. After spending about half an hour wandering round looking at all the menus, we finally decided on the Crispy Duck restaurant as it is one of our favorite Chinese meals. We ordered a mountain of food which was all very nice.
After dinner, we wandered up Regent Street and along Oxford Street to see the Christmas lights and eventually found a little pub to have a drink.
Feeling very tired, we headed back to Paddington to get a fast train home.
