thank you...

I would just like to say a big thank you to this guy for giving me free publicity and a higher google rating for my blog.

I started my blog for myself, my friends and my family and thought it would come in handy for when we go on our travels. I didn't realise anyone else would waste their time looking at it, let alone a self proclaimed naked druid from Leicester.

And because of people like him, I will continue rambling on, in my own special way, hoping that the excitement gets too much for them and they die nasty deaths.

So, thanks again Mr Naked Druid for my free publicity! :oP

We couldn't take the camera to London on Saturday as all the batteries were flat :o(

Dan did manage to take a few on his mobile, so here they are...

medal test...

Had my medal test today.

I didn't think I was going to be nervous and I wasn't until I was in the room, stood in front of the examiner waiting for the music to start for our warm up dance.

We had 3 dances to do in total. They all went OK, didn't make any mistakes though I feel like it didn't go as well as it could have.

I was hoping for Highly Commended but not sure if I did enough to get it. Will be a bit disappointed if I don't but as long as I get higher than a pass I guess I'll be happy.

Probably won't find out the results until after Christmas so I'm in for a bit of a wait.

Still, always got my silver medal to improve!

Yesterday we had a Christmas shopping and sightseeing day in London.

First stop was Covent Garden Market where we enjoyed some mulled wine to help us get in to the festive spirit. We had a mooch round the markets and saw some really nice things including a man making bracelets out of forks! They were really pretty and very unusual. Dan offered to buy me one for Christmas but for some reason, I decided against it.

After looking round Covent Garden, we headed to Greenwich Market. We wandered round looking for inspiration for Christmas presents but didn't see anything we wanted to buy! Dan did find a nice shirt which I offered to buy him for Christmas but he decided not to.

We decided it was time for a rest so we headed to the pub for a little afternoon drink.

After Greenwich, we headed up to Camden Market. By this time, it was getting late and we arrived as some of the market traders were packing up for the day. We thought about having some food at Camden at one of the many food outlets, all of which smelled fantastic but we thought we'd go for a nice sit down meal instead.

Chinese was the chosen food so we thought it only right to go to China Town to eat. After spending about half an hour wandering round looking at all the menus, we finally decided on the Crispy Duck restaurant as it is one of our favorite Chinese meals. We ordered a mountain of food which was all very nice.

After dinner, we wandered up Regent Street and along Oxford Street to see the Christmas lights and eventually found a little pub to have a drink.

Feeling very tired, we headed back to Paddington to get a fast train home.

the incredibles...

Went to see The Incredibles last night.

All the reports we'd heard had been very good, it had even been described as the best animated film ever so we were looking forward to it.

And it was very good :o) But then, I never it expected it not to be! Haven't quite decided who my favourie was, I think I just liked them all!
