i've won a haircut...

Listening to Reading 107fm a couple of days ago, I suddenly had an impulse and decided to enter the competition to win a haircut at Saks in Reading. Well, i'm desperate for a trim before my hoildays and am too skint to pay for it!

Managed to get through and kept on hold but I didn't manage to be caller 2 or caller 6.

So yesterday, I thought i'd give it another try and I was caller 2! And on topof that, I got the question right, I won a haircut! Fantastic.

So today, I made Debbie ring in and guess what, she was lucky caller 8 and she won one too!

Yeah! Nice hair all round! ;o)

new photo album coming soon...

I have decided to change the look of the photo album to make it easier to upload photos.

It's gonna take some time to upload all the current photos in the new album but i'm sure it'll all be worth it. There will even be some new photos added :o)

painted kitchen...

A few weeks ago, I started painting the kitchen. The walls are now a lovely bright sunny yellow colour, and the kitchen units are an off white colour (instead of the horrible orange pine colour they ysed to be)

It's turning out to be a big job. Well, not really big, just need motivation to finish it.

Anyway, got a quite a bit more done today. The skirting is all done, just need to finish the cupboard doors and it's done :o)

trip to the races...

Dan came home from work on Friday with a dozen red roses, a bottle of champagne and a birthday cake for me :o) After enjoying the champagne in the garden, we headed off for a chinese meal at the Shanpan Chinese. Very yummy.

Yesterday was the trip to the races. After fretting all week about the weather, it turned out to be a lovely sunny day.

Me, Dan, Debbie and Jason arrived at the racecourse at 1.30pm to find Gareth, Minnie, Simon, Eloise and Johnson had already arrived and found us a lovely spot by the racecourse. Soon after, Wilson, Adam, George, Richard, Francisco and Gareth arrived too.

There was much eating, drinking and betting by all but I think only George & Richard did any good coming out a total of £34.00 up!

After the last race at 5.15pm, we headed off into town for a drink at The Dolphin before a curry at the Ellora.

We made it just in time to catch the last train back to Reading at 22.37.

Well, i've now reached the tender age of 28!

And I finally found out what Dan had bought me for my birthday...

A romantic sunset seaplane flight over San Francisco with Champagne :oD

I also got a limo pickup in Las Vegas with 1/2 hour strip tour, champange and a red rose from my Mam and Dad.

And today at work, I'd somehow managed to persuade the boss for us all to have the afternoon off and have a BBQ at work.

Off out for a meal tonight with Dan and then off to the races tomorrow.

I like birthdays :o)
