shopping...

With Dan off to Havant to help fix Johnson's new landrover, I decided on some retail therapy.

Armed with vouchers for Dorothy Perkins, Debenhams and House of Fraser and some cash, I hit the shops!

About 3 hours later I return with some toothpaste, dental floss and mouthwash!

Why!? Why is it when you have money you can't get anything and when you don't have money there's so many nice things you want!

Nothing seemed to fit. Everything was either too big or didn't look right. And remind me never to go shopping to Primark on a Saturday again!

Think I'll try again during the week.

friday night...

Pub night!

Ron's first week back in the South and nothing to do on a Friday night. So, a trip to you no where was in order. My mates had once again vanished for the weekend. I think Ron doesn't believe I have any friends!

We were even visited for the night (well an hour or so) by Ian! Remember him? First time we've seen him in about 8 months. He's still comuting to Reading from Barnsley (yes, he's mad) so he joined us for a quick drink in O'Neills.

aren't bosses nice...

Well, sometimes! Today my boss is very nice!

Our place is stuck in a bit of a time warp when it comes to computers. Lots of things still get done on paper and there's loads of duplication.

So, I took it upon myself to create a simple excel spreadsheet to take over from the current "paper logs". It shows all the info the old system does but has the added bonus of some nifty formula's to automatically calculate some figures.

I was quite pleased with it but my boss thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread! And today, to show how much he appreciated my hard work and what I'd done he gave me some Debenham's vouchers as a thank you. Wow!

So I am feeling very happy now :o)

orange wednesday...

You got to love em! ;o)

Went to the flicks last night to see The Life Aquatic. We were supposed to be seeing Racing Stripes but like all films I want to see at the moment, they only seem to be out a couple of weeks.

Dan really enjoyed the film, I wasn't so keen.

dancing show 2005...

The date for this year's dancing show has been set - Sunday 15th May.

This year we're dancing to "Cheek to Cheek" by Fred Astaire and will once again wear our pink tailcoats! Yeah! :o) We'll also have top hats and canes.
